Getting hands-on experience is a great way of igniting a passion to learn and this summer we're re-launching a brilliant new children's activity, where two teams are pitted against each other to load and fire two replica canons. These mini workshops are great for family events and history days, suitable for young children from 4-11 years old, The Canon Race is an excellent way to engage and entertain younger visitors.

I'm currently building a model castle that youngsters can build.  The castle is based upon the keep at Rochester Castle and will be a fantastic new addition to the History Squad school workshop repertoire. I'll keep you all posted once it's complete.
